OUR PROMISE FOR YOUR PRIVACY

At Bank of Ann Arbor, we've built our reputation on putting the interests of our customers first. To us, your trust is our most valuable asset so it is important that you understand what information we collect and how we use it. Because your personal and financial information is your private information, we maintain strict safeguards to protect that information.

We never rent or sell your personal or financial information or the fact that you are a Bank of Ann Arbor customer to anyone. Your information is used primarily to complete transactions that you request or to inform you of products and services that we offer.

This privacy notice contains information as to how we fulfill our commitment to safeguard your privacy. It is provided to Bank of Ann Arbor customers annually and is available at any time upon request. This notice covers Bank of Ann Arbor and its affiliate, Bank of Ann Arbor Wholesale (also known as Progressive Mortgage).

OUR SECURITY PROCEDURES
Bank of Ann Arbor maintains appropriate security standards and procedures regarding unauthorized access to customer information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects your account from being accessed by third parties. We maintain and grant access to customer information only in accordance with our internal security standards.

We have developed policies and procedures to guide our staff. We educate our employees on the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy through training, procedures, and professional conduct guidelines. Access to customer information is restricted to only those who have a business reason for knowing. We view failure to protect a customer's confidentiality as a serious matter and will take disciplinary action, up to and including termination, for those who violate this policy.

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We may collect "nonpublic personal information" about you from the following sources:

• Information we receive from you on applications or other loan and account forms;
• Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others; and
• Information we receive from third parties, such as credit reports and income verification.

"Nonpublic personal information" is information about you that is not in the public domain that we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. For example, nonpublic personal information includes information regarding your account balance, payment history, and overdraft history.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the information collected to protect and administer your records, accounts and funds, to comply with certain laws and regulations, and to help us design, deliver and improve our products and services.

WHAT INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE
We are permitted under law to share transaction and experience information (such as your account balance and your payment history with us) with our affiliates.

We may also share additional information about you (such as information we receive from you in applications or from credit reporting agencies) with our affiliates, unless you opt out. You may direct us not to disclose to our affiliates information we receive from you in applications and from credit reporting agencies by notifying us through one of the following ways.

We are permitted under law to disclose the information we collect about you to other third parties in certain circumstances. For example, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to such third parties to assist us in servicing your loan or account with us; to government entities in response to subpoenas; and to credit bureaus. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to any other third parties, except as permitted by law.

If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice.

Federally Required Affiliate Marketing Notice

Bank of Ann Arbor and its affiliate, Bank of Ann Arbor Wholesale Mortgage (also known as Progressive Mortgage), are providing this notice.

Federal law gives you the right to limit some but not all marketing from the Bank of Ann Arbor companies. Federal law also requires us to give you this notice to tell you about your choice to limit marketing from the Bank of Ann Arbor companies.

You may choose to stop all marketing from us and our affiliates.

Your choice to limit marketing offers from all the Bank of Ann Arbor companies will apply until you tell us to change your choice [for at least 5 years from when you tell us your choice.] Once that period expires, you will receive a renewal notice that will allow you to continue to limit marketing offers form the Bank of Ann Arbor companies for at least another 5 years.

If you already made a choice to limit marketing offers from Bank of Ann Arbor companies, you do not need to act again until you receive the renewal notice.
